I don't find a lot of horror films that scary. More recently there's been a few that feel fresh and literally send shivers down my spine, but I'd say 90 percent of the scary movies I see are just bad.
So after watching the trailer for Unfriended (trailer below), I wasn't so much scared as I was intrigued. It looks like a good idea for a film that will have lots of tension. I don't think it'll be scary, but the premise is promising. Here's the sysnopsis:
Ushering in a new era of horror, Universal Pictures' Unfriended unfolds over a teenager's computer screen as she and her friends are stalked by an unseen figure who seeks vengeance for a shaming video that lead a vicious bully to kill herself a year earlier.
It all unfolds over a Skype call, switching back and forth between the characters' different webcams so we can see how they die.I think the name Unfriended is the only stupid thing about it, but I'm willing to give this horror film a chance. It's a combination of a couple of different horror movies I've already seen, but with a spin to it.
Unfriended is coming soon.
