Call of Duty developer Treyarch teases some sort of ‘zombies’ reveal

Tune in this Wednesday for the livestream

Call of Duty: Black Ops and Black Ops 2 developer Treyarch is teasing some sort of announcement on Wednesday, and it looks to have something to do with zombies. Of course, given Treyarch's history this shouldn't come as much of a surprise. After all, they were the first studio to bring the popular Zombies mode into Call of Duty with World at War.

Whatever the case, Treyarch took to Twitter today to tease information about the livestream that will take place this Wednesday, February 4th. One of the associated hashtags suggests the livestream will be during the DICE summit, which takes place from February 3rd through the 5th.

As one would expect, fans are running rampant with speculation ranging from a new Call of Duty to a standalone zombie first-person shooter. It seems a bit early for Activision or Treyarch to announce a new Call of Duty. Typically, that reveal comes in May. Interestingly enough, a recent image teased by Xbox community manager Raj Patel seemed to suggest Microsoft was readying to reveal a new game — perhaps a new installment in the Call of Duty franchise — on May 4th.

I don't know if these two events are related, but I can't wait to find out. What do you think Treyarch is teasing?
