New Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 details leak ahead of tomorrow’s reveal

Co-op campaign, Zombies, new movement system, and more detailed

While we have to wait until tomorrow for the official worldwide reveal for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, new marketing material, leaked on Reddit, has revealed a ton more information about the highly anticipated game. The materials reveal all sorts of gameplay info covering the campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies modes, all of which might be further detailed tomorrow.

For starters, Treyarch is promising a campaign "unlike anything before it." Why? Because the big feature seems to be the ability to play Black Ops 3's campaign cooperatively with up to four players online, "using the same battle-tested network infrastructure and social systems that support its world-class Multiplayer and Zombies game modes."

Black Ops 3 will boast a "cinematic arena-style play" that's supposedly "designed for co-op and re-playability." Another new feature in Black Ops 3's campaign is that all player characters are now fully customizable; from weapons and loadouts, to abilities and outfits — all with full progression systems.

Black Ops 3 multiplayer

Moving on to competitive multiplayer, Black Ops 3 will premiere a new "momentum-based chained-movement system" which should allow players to "fluidly move through the environment with finesse." There's mention of thrust jumps, slides, and mantling abilities" — all of which can be used while maintaining "complete control" of your weapon. It sounds like Black Ops 3 will feel and play a lot like Advanced Warfare.

Maps have also been designed "from the ground-up" to support this new movement system. Another new feature to Black Ops 3 is a Specialist character system, "which allows players to rank up and master each specific character's battle-hardened capabilities and weapons." The material doesn't go into much detail, but adds this will give players a third way to rank up in multiplayer, alongside Traditional and Weapons XP progressions systems.

And lastly, Zombies. Treyarch's signature mode is back, this time offering a "full-game experience" with its own "distinct storyline right out of the box." Treyarch is calling it the most "immersive and ambitious" Call of Duty Zombies to date, which will reportedly feature  full XP-based progression system.

According to a separate leak, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will launch on November 6. Anyone who pre-orders the game at GameStop — and possibly other retailers — will be granted access to a beta that will be held on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

Keep in mind, all of this information comes via marketing material leaked online. Expect Activision and Treyarch to further clarify and detail everything tomorrow during the Black Ops 3's official worldwide reveal.
