Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor Game of the Year Edition announced

Includes the full game and all previously released DLC

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor was met with rave reviews, so it's no surprise that Warner Bros. wants to celebrate the game's success with a Game of the Year Edition.

Announced today, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor Game of the Year Edition will bundle the main game with all of the DLC released thus far, including the Lord of The Hunt and The Bright Lord DLC packs, for $49.99.

Here's everything that's included:

  • Story Packs: The Lord of The Hunt and The Bright Lord
  • Skins: The Dark Ranger, Captain of the Watch, Lord of the Hunt, The Bright Lord, Power of Shadow and Lithariel Skins

  • Missions: Guardians of the Flaming Eye, The Berserks and The Skull Crushers Warband Missions
  • Challenge Modes: Test of Power, Test of Speed, Test of Wisdom, Endless Challenge, Test of the Wild, Test of the Ring, Test of Defiance Challenge Modes
  • Additional Features: Photo Mode

For those who haven't yet played Shadow of Mordor, it's a third-person action-adventure in which you play as Talion, a valiant ranger whose family is slain right in front of him the night Sauron and his army return to Mordor, moments before his own life is taken. Talion, resurrected by a Spirit of vengeance and empowered with Wraith abilities, will venture into Mordor on a quest to destroy those who wronged him. On that journey, Talion will learn the truth of the Spirit that compels him, learn the origins of the Rings of Power and confront his "true nemesis."

As I mentioned, it's a pretty great game and anyone who has not played it should probably jump on this Game of the Year Edition.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor Game of the Year Edition will release on May 5th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
