Activision revealed during E3 this week two more Specialist characters you'll be able to play as in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's multiplayer. If you recall, Treyarch is shaking up traditional Call of Duty multiplayer with Black Ops 3 by having you play as a Specialist — a unique character with his/her own unique power and weapon — rather than a random, unnamed soldier.
To date, four of the nine elite Specialists have been revealed: Ruin, Seraph, Outrider and Reaper. Today, we were introduced to two more — Prophet and Nomad. As was the case with the previous four Specialists, these two feature their own look, personality, voice and battle-hardened weapons and abilities. Below are the details for Prophet and Nomad.
Prophet
Weapon: Tempest is a charge-shot weapon that fires an arc of electricity, shocking targets and chaning to all nearby enemies.
Ability: Glitch is a system mod that hacks the battlefield simulation grid, allowing Prophet to flash back to a previous position.
Nomad
Weapon: H.I.V.E. deploys pod traps which release a deadly swarm of nano drones when triggered.
Ability: Rejack allows the recovery from near death by injecting a nanoparticle serum into the bloodstream.
During the press conferences this week, Activision gave us our first look at Black Ops 3's multiplayer which seems faster and more ambitious than ever before. Check out the trailer above.
As a reminder, for the first time in franchise history, PlayStation platforms will have first dibs on Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's future DLC.
