The trailer for the upcoming documentary on late SNL icon Chris Farley hit the web today. "I Am Chris Farley" chronicles the life and death of the energetic big man who rocked the world with his comedic performances.
From his childhood in Wisconsin, to his rise to fame and dealing with drug addiciton, "I Am Chris Farley" takes a personal, inside-look at the funny-man we only got to know on TV & movie screens before his untimely death in 1997.
Many people, including myself, grew up watching Farley's brand of energetic comedy. Whether you remember him from his Saturday Night Live sketch dancing shamelessly alongside Patrick Swayze as a would-be Chippendale's dancer, or his role as the bumbling, yet good-natured, Tommy Boy, Farley was an engaging personality who made his mark in the comedic world.
"I Am Chris Farley" also features inside interviews with those who knew Farley well, including David Spade, Adam Sandler, and Farley's own brother, Kevin Farley.
The film opens in theaters July 31st, and will availabe on VOD, digital download, and DVD August 11th.
