Resident Evil 2 Remaster officially pitched at Capcom

One day after gauging whether or not the community wanted it

Yesterday Capcom asked if fans would like to see a Resident Evil 2 remaster and if they did, how they would want the remaster to be made. Some fans weren't too keen on the idea of getting another remaster instead of a new game, but plenty of people were excited at the concept.

Within 24 hours of asking the community if they wanted a Resident Evil 2 Remaster and receiving mostly positive feedback from the community the remake was pitched to a mysterious overseer at Capcom.

It turns out that after the Resident Evil HD Remaster became Capcom's fastest selling digital title in history across Europe and North America. Someone at Capcom had begun putting together ideas for for a Resident Evil 2 remake, that person brushed the dust off of their concept for the remake and officially pitched it. No we wait and see if Capcom approves the pitch or not.

Capcom is currently working on Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster for early 2016 and some mysterious Umbrella Corps project.
