The Walking Dead is preparing to hit AMC with Season 6 this October and it looks like we will be in for a treat when the premiere comes around. The man that has lead us through most of this bloody and dramatic series, Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) spoke with EW on how there are more walkers than ever and that fans won't even know what's coming with the first episode.
"There are more walkers than we’ve ever faced before. I think the storytelling is astonishing," said Lincoln before going on to comment on writer and producer Scott M. Gimple's vision. "Scott has kind of picked up very much where we left off and he’s spinning 18 principal storylines in an incredibly complicated and cool way.”
Lincoln didn't stop teasing Season 6 there he went on to toot the Hypetrain horn in the best way possible. According to him, this season will have some of the best episodes that we've seen for the last couple of seasons.
“I think that episode 1 is something that people are not going to expect,” said Lincoln. “I certainly didn’t when I read it. And when we filmed it, it just grew and grew and it got deeper and deeper. And I think there are a couple of episodes this season that are certainly some of the best episodes I’ve read, maybe in a couple of seasons.”
