Sony unveils Darth Vader-inspired PS4s for Star Wars Battlefront and Disney Infinity 3.0

The force is strong with this one

SCEA's VP of Publisher Relations Adam Boyes, took to the stage at Disney's D23 Expo today to unveil what might be the most powerful system in the galaxy — a Darth Vader-inspired PlayStation 4.

The uniquely themed Star Wars PS4 will be offered as part of two different Star Wars bundles available starting November 17th.

The first is the Limited Edition Star Wars Battlefront PS4 Bundle which will include a custom 500GB limited edition PS4 system (CUH-1200 series) and DUALSHOCK 4 Wireless Controller inspired by Darth Vader. The fully customized PS4 features an image of Darth Vader, as well as a repeated Star Wars logo across the top of the system. The Darth Vader edition DUALSHOCK 4 is inspired by Darth Vader’s chest panel and features the repeated Star Wars logo on its touchpad.

In addition to the uniquely designed PS4 console, the bundle also inlcudes a digital voucher for Star Wars Battlefront: Deluxe Edition and download codes to four classic Star Wars games – Super Star Wars, Star Wars: Racer Revenge, Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter and Star Wars Bounty Hunter – which will playable for the first time on PS4 with upgraded graphics and Trophy support.

A Battlefront bundle with the same games but a standard PS4 console will also be available this fall.

The second bundle is exclusive to Wal-Mart and will instead feature Disney Infinity 3.0.  The bundle will come with everything in the previous console, but will replace Battlefront with the Disney Infinity 3.0: Star Wars Edition PlayStation Exclusive Hardware Bundle Kit. The kit includes a physical copy of Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition, the Disney Infinity Base, the Rise Against the Empire Play Set Pack (featuring Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa figures, as well the Rise Against the Empire Play Set piece), and the Boba Fett figure, exclusive to PlayStation through this holiday.

Bundles will go on pre-order soon so keep a look-out if you plan on getting one. The consoles will both be available November 17th.
