Daniel Craig can’t see himself doing another Bond film

Could Spectre be his last Bond film?

In an interview promoting the latest James Bond film, Spectre, star Daniel Craig said it would be hard to see him doing another Bond film.

“I don’t know, I really don’t know. Honestly. I’m not trying to be coy. At the moment I can’t even conceive it.”

Spectre is the follow up to Skyfall, the highest grossing 007 film. As part of the interview with Esquire, when asked point blank if he would do another Bond film:

“At this moment, no. I have a life and I’ve got to get on with it a bit. But we’ll see.”

This comes off the cusp of director Sam Mendes confirming earlier this summer Spectre would be his last 007 film. Similarly to Mendes – and even Craig's version of the Bond who watches everyone around him come and go through his mostly lonely life – there’s a clear desire to have a life again outside of his work. Spectre is the fourth Bond film starring Craig and hits theaters November 6.
