Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is set in 2065, taking place 40 years after the events of Black Ops 2. With Black Ops 2 being a sequel to Black Ops, featuring storyline connecting events from the final years of the Cold War (1986-1989) and a second Cold War in 2025, it gets pretty complicated. Which is why, with Black Ops 3 on the way this November, we are thankful Treyarch has created a timeline video for the Call of Duty storyline.
At 10 minutes in length, the video is a timeline of events and characters "that have made the Black Ops universe what it is to date."
