Nickelodeon has been talking about reviving hit shows from the 1990's with a general vagueness that has either bred fears that the TV network could ruin our childhood with awful remakes or that they could be awesome and replay old episodes. It seems as though Nickelodeon has decided to go with the latter, thankfully.
Instead of ruining a good thing, Nickelodeon has officially announced The Splat. According to the network's official press release, The Splat has been everything we have been waiting for:
“Nickelodeon will throw back to the ‘90s every day with the launch of ‘The Splat,’ a new multiscreen content destination spanning television, seven social media platforms, and a dedicated website aggregating the most loved Nick content from the 1990s and beyond.”
The Splat will make its official launch on October 5th, with special events throughout the month, on October 12th we will witness the 'Rugrats Reptar Takeover', which will feature the best Reptar-themed Rugrats episodes. On October 19th, 'Hey Arnold! Live from the Stoop' will take us on a tour of the best stoop-based Hey Arnold! episodes.
