Destiny: Xur, Agent of the Nine, Tower Location and Exotic Gear (10/16/15 – 10/17/15)

Although Destiny’s newest storefront is on the tip of everyone’s tongue, old Xur hasn’t stopped his weekend trips to the tower. With Iron Banner reaching its halfway point and Trials of Osiris just now opening its doors, the Crucible, too, is the talk of the town, so the PvP-minded are going to be especially interested in Xur’s latest inventory. Fortunately, Xur has brought a weapon with him this time, though he won’t be selling exotic engrams this weekend. Instead, we have only heavy weapon legacy engrams to reminisce with.

In addition to Xur’s staple items, he is now selling glass needles, a new material quietly introduced with the latest update. Glass needles are purchased in bundles of three using three motes of light, three strange coins and a single exotic shard, and can be used to reroll the properties of exotic armor. Rerolling requires 250 glimmer, 10 armor materials and one glass needle. Fortunately, changing your perks will not reset the experience of an item, nor will it affect its Light-determining defense level. Its stats (Intellect, Strength, Discipline) will also remain constant.
