The third of four planned announcements for the week, tinyBuild revealed today that they are working with developer QUICKTEQUILA to bring a Lovely Planet sequel to PC, called Lovely Planet Arcade. Don't lower your guard because of the deceptively friendly aesthetic. The game is set to feature over 100 challenging (see: "impossible") levels of reflex-testing fun, where players will need to devise timely maneuvers to navigate active puzzle scenarios.
The team is enlisting Calum Bowen, who created a rambunctious soundtrack for the original, to once again compose musical delights for Lovely Planet Arcade.
There's no word yet on whether or not this sequel will be prepped for consoles like the game that came before it. It was just last week, in fact, that the original Lovely Planet released for the Xbox One. Meanwhile, the Wii U version — which received a demo last year as part of Nintendo's Nindies@Home initiative — is still unaccounted for.
You can test the limits of Lovely Planet Arcade's cuteness factor when it arrives on Steam this summer.
