Since the passing of British actor Alan Rickman earlier this week, fans and friends have found their own unique way to pay tribute and remember him by. For some, it's through a personal message online. For others, it's by raising their wands (a Harry Potter reference).
While Rickman is known for a number of fantastic roles and characters he helped bring to life, he's perhaps most famous for playing Severus Snape in the Harry Potter franchise. And for many fans of the franchise, his death hit them hard. Although they may not have known Rickman on a personal level, Harry Potter fans have paid tributed to their beloved Severus Snape in a magical way.
Over at London's Kings Cross Station fans have begun to place flowers, scarves and other personal items in memory of Alan Rickman on the trolley at wall which leads to Platform 9 3/4 and the Hogwarts Express in J.K. Rowling's books.
Even just through the photos posted online, you get a sense of emotional connection these fans had to Alan Rickman. Truly magical.
Massive thank you to everyone who left flowers and notes. Potterhead solidarity. #RIPAlanRickman pic.twitter.com/72eF4fjqUZ
