Kingdom Hearts 3 voice actor says Square needs to ‘step it up’ on game’s production

You weren't actually expecting Kingdom Hearts III anytime soon were you?

Quinton Flynn, the actor who voices Axel in the English version of the Kingdom Hearts franchise has apparently called out Square Enix (albeit playfully) via Twitter during an exchange with a fan. The tweet is embedded below.

Flynn later officially confirms that he has done no work on Kingdom Hearts III.

The fact that Kingdom Hearts 3 appears to be coming along slowly shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. The game has been in the dark for most of the last two and a half years and it's taken almost a decade for Final Fantasy XV (formerly known as Versus XIII) to see the light of day.

Kingdom Hearts series producer Shinji Hashimoto even dropped the dreaded PR cliche, "we want each game to be perfect in terms of quality" in an interview with IGN a few years ago. Questions have continued to be asked regarding the game's status, but the answers appear to scream "we don't have much."

Here's to hoping we don't have to wait 10 years for another beloved franchise to make its return.
