Leave it to Nintendo to create a kid-friendly shooter that has more depth than just about every “mature” shooter on the market today. Splatoon is the surprise of the generation, having sold well over 4 million copies as a new Nintendo IP on a console that struggled to sell 12 million units. That's an insane amount, all things considered.
Well if you're a Wii U owner that hasn't bought the game, Nintendo is bringing back the Splatoon Demo for the Summer Splatdown. From August 25 until August 28, those with the Splatoon demo (available for predownload now) can participate in matches from 3-5PM PT on each listed day.
Nintendo has always been stingy with their demos, some may say unnecessarily, but last years Splatoon Test Fire drove fans into a frenzy. Maybe the Nintendo crew behind this demo knows what they're doing after all.
Don't have #Splatoon yet? The Summer Splatdown is back: Try it on 8/25-8/28 from 3-5 PM PT!https://t.co/1dlkIANgou
