Pokemon GO is coming to Apple Watch later this year

Pokemon GO was one of the biggest things of the summer, it was a worldwide phenomenon. It got people outside and moving around, exploring the area they live in, and it brought people together. Now, Apple has extended the ways you can play Pokemon GO by announcing it for Apple Watch.

The new Apple Watch app will allow players to look at their watch and see how far they have to go to hatch an egg, the amount of XP needed to reach their next level, and even when they're near a pokestop. Developer of Pokemon GO, Niantic Labs, also detailed how well the app is doing. The app has been downloaded over 500,000,000 and people have walked over 4.6 billion kilometers while playing the highly addictive game.

In related news, Apple also revealed that our favorite Italian plumber will be coming to iOS in Super Mario Run later this year.

Pokemon GO for Apple Watch will be available later this year.
