Since EA revealed FIFA was coming to the Nintendo Switch earlier this year, there has been a lot of confusion on how different it'll be compared to the Xbox One/PS4 counterparts. Will it be exactly the same? Will it be a completely different game? What sacrifices will be made if it is different?
Today, we got a number of new details regarding the Nintendo Switch version. It has been confirmed that the fan favorite mode, Ultimate Team, will be in the Nintendo Switch version of FIFA 18. There's no details as whether if it'll be different or not compared to the other versions but presumably they'd say so if it was different.
In addition to Ultimate Team, the Career mode (not to be confused with The Journey, the narrative story mode), Switch Kick-Off, and Local Seasons will all be included in this year's FIFA on Nintendo Switch. The Switch version also promises to deliver the "most technologically-advanced portable FIFA experience ever" with "brand-new pitch environments, realistic character likeness, and new gameplay mechanics, all built for Switch."
Sadly, the Switch version will NOT include The Journey which will be in the Xbox One/PS4 versions. If you're interested to see what that looks like, you can click here to see a brand new trailer that released today.
FIFA 18 on Nintendo Switch will release on September 29th, 2017.
