Sony announces Codemasters’ (ft. ex-MotorStorm devs) game Onrush

Mud, crashes and off-road competitive racing

Competitive racing games that take the action off-road and mix in a little arcade-y feel are few and far between. I was just saying to some friends, that I really miss games like MotorStorm. When that game hit the PS3, it was awesome and took racing visuals to a new level.

If you're wondering why there hasn't been a MotorStorm since 2012 (MotorStorm: RC), that's because the studio, Evolution Studio, is no more. Sadly, the company closed up shop back on April 11, 2016. While it's sad to see a studio like that close, what's awesome is when talented staff make their way to an even more talented studio, who has a pedigree that suites their talents perfectly, enter, Codemasters.

Codemasters has become synonymous with great racing games, thanks to games like DiRT, GRiD and DiRT Rally, no to mention the years of Colin McRae Rally games. Now, ex-staffers of Evolution have been working with Codemasters on a new game called, Onrush.

Onrush is a combination of DiRT, MotorStorm and even Burnout. Beautiful graphics, off-road racing, and spectacular crashes. Check out the video below to see Sony's reveal of Onrush, due out next year.
