Apex Legends Season 2 packs new Legend, Dinos and Dragons

Elementary, my dear Wattson

Respawn Entertainment has unveiled all the cool new additions which are headed towards their battle royale breakout hit Apex Legends in Season 2. As expected, a new Legend is here, as well as massive changes to the game map with some outlandish new threats. Watch the awesome trailer for Season 2 here!

After a massively successful launch, things started to look going south unexpectedly fast for Apex Legends. A lack of content and a slow rollout of updates led to a steep decline of players who simply grew bored of the online shooter. Usually a death sentence for games which rely on a healthy and large player base, but Respawn’s talent of creating great gunplay were enough for it to retain a still large base.

Kings Canyon looks a bit different these days. Control the battle as Wattson, a Legend who uses electric fences and pylons to protect her team. Prove you’re the best in a brand-new Ranked Leagues mode. Grab the heavy-hitting L-STAR machine gun, dive into an improved Battle Pass, and more – all in Apex Legends Season 2.

Now that we are seeing what Season 2 is going to bring to the table, things are definitely looking good for the battle royale shooter. Not only are players going to get a new Legend with Wattson, but the entire map is going under some severe changes which are no doubt going to spice things up.

But first up, Wattson. It’s all about the electrifying personality of the new playable character. Literally. Her tactical ability is Perimeter Security where she connects nodes and creates an electrified fence which both hurts and slows enemies. Wattson’s ultimate is the Interception Pylon that is able to repair damaged shields and intercept incoming ordnance.

Likewise important in Season 2 are the changes to the map which sees major structures getting destroyed, a huge dinosaur-like creature stampeding through the map and dragons reigning terror from the skies. Make sure to check out the new official gameplay trailer as well, to see all the new cool stuff in action.

Season 2 of Apex Legends starts July 2nd.
