MangaGamer: “Engrish is no more!”

Japanese visual novel publisher MangaGamer recently posted a series of news on their website that has fans of the genre celebrating all over the Internet, promising tighter English translations, a tentative end of the month release period for the much-anticipated Da Capo Innocent Finale and the promise of more games, including Edelweiss, on the iPhone.

“DCIF will mark the first game seeing release under the new system and the staff involved in it. It will mark the first release to have undergone editing by our new, native-English speaking Editor!”

This is very welcomed news considering that MangaGamer was once known as a sloppy translation company with plenty of grammatical mistakes and errors found all over their games. They’ve made great progress ever since they first published Edelweiss and seem to be striving to continue to become the number one trusted visual novel publisher in the West.

Other news includes the possibility of releasing Da Capo II sometime before Christmas and that the upcoming translation for Ef – the first tale has been going extremely well.
