Microsoft’s Entertainment and Devices VP Don Mattrick is just so excited about the new Grand Theft Auto IV that during his appearance on Major Nelson’s recent podcast, he might have gotten his words mixed up, just a little.
He describes it as “an amazing piece of software, and I’m really excited with its downloadable content and online multiplayer support. Again, that’s something that’s unique to 360.” Continuing, he says “We think consumers are going to love that and it’s going to create, what I would describe again as the premium experience on our platform.”
However, CVG received confirmation from Rockstar that “both versions of Grand Theft Auto IV will have an online multiplayer component,” leaving one to wonder if that will quell Mattrick’s enthusiasm at all.
