Marvel vs. Capcom 2 GameStop Pack: Only 15K, Less Content Than Expected

As we learned the other day, the Marvel vs. Capcom 2 retail package is indeed real, but some further details have since come to light.

Available exclusively at GameStop, it seems that the contents of the package are a little more sparse than we were at first led to believe. JGonzo of the Capcom*Unity says that it contains a product voucher to download the game on the PlayStation Network (I guess Xbox 360 users are out of luck) and a code for a free one-month subscription to Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited.

And… that’s it. No instruction manual, no Unity Points (used to bid on Capcom’s exclusive online auctions), and no mention is made of a disc featuring the game’s art. But, there are only 15,000 of these being made, so you’d better hurry… I guess.

I suppose it’s not bad, a free one-month comic subscription for the same price as buying the game online… plus a neat little box. Still, it was a lot cooler when they had all the other neat little nick-nacks in there.
