Mega Man and Mega Man X Official Complete Works Now Available

Good news for fans of the Blue Bomber, as the Mega Man Official Complete Works and Mega Man X Official Complete Works art books are now both on sale. This should have gone up last week, but the delay may be beneficial, as the books were only guaranteed to be available at comic book shops when the news went out on Wednesday of last week.

Now, however, it is also available at other retailers, including Amazon.com, where you can find both books discounted from their regular $39.99 price to just $26.39.

I got my hands on the X book last week, and I have to say, it is truly incredible, as it is filled with all kinds of illustrations– common, rare, and even never-before-seen production pieces– from every single Mega Man X game. Plus, there are lots of little notes and trivia about different characters and games in the margins.

One should know that these books were originally released in Japan as “R20” for the 20th anniversary of Rockman. As such, UDON was only able to make a straight translated version, and were unable to add art from the then-unreleased Mega Man 9, to say nothing of the upcoming Mega Man 10.

Fortunately, they were able to split the book, making the management of money for Mega Man a little easier. Plus, if you’re only interested in one series, now you don’t have to shell out a mammoth amount of money for the other.

If you haven’t already, these books are definitely worth checking out.
