Nintendo of Europe has added something amusing to their website: The musings of Louie.
Who’s Louie, you ask? Why, none other than the sidekick of Captain Olimar in Pikmin 2, of course. And that’s just what he’s musing about– the role of himself, and others, as sidekicks to greater stars. He’s happy to work with Olimar, and realizes the Captain’s need for his help, but it has not escaped his notice that his lot usually don’t get as much spotlight as the bigger stars of the company.
He looks at how sidekicks such as Luigi, Diddy Kong, Pikachu, and Navi have gotten along over the years with their respective partners. It’s an amusing in-character piece that I’ve not seen on their site before, and the timing is odd– New Play Control! Pikmin 2 was released almost two months ago in Europe, making this an odd time to promote the title (though the article does both).
Might this be a regular feature, be it from Louie or other Nintendo characters? One can only hope.
