Ready At Dawn, the developers behind God of War on the PSP, are the latest to be moving into the realm of "next-gen".
In a job ad posted earlier this month, the Sony developer is looking for "exceptional candidates to help develop an exciting new IP for a Next-Generation home console." This rules out any possibility that the term "next-gen" was referring to the PlayStation Vita, which actually would be a fitting platform for the developer who worked on the PSP.
Nothing about the game has been revealed except that it is a "new AAA IP, 3rd Person Action Adventure", and that it will likely be for home consoles like the PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4.
Ready At Dawn joins a growing list of developers claiming to be working on "next-gen" games. A list that was recently expanded when Bethesda, yesterday, also announced they are hiring for an "unannounced game on future-generation consoles".
Call of Duty developers Infinity Ward posted a job listing last month calling for a Senior Animator with an "interest in working with next-gen technologies."
Similarly, Rockstar Games mentioned they were seeking environment artists to "get the most from next-gen consoles." The words "next-gen" were later removed after rumors that GTA V would be headed to next-gen consoles.
Granted none of these companies specifically mention the PlayStation 4 or Xbox 720 (or Durango), but seeing as how Ready At Dawn is a Sony dev, this game is likely headed for the future PlayStation.
