A new trailer for Rune Factory 4 has been released, and it showcases a lot of the gameplay and characters that gamers will see when they play the game on their 3DS handhelds.
Rune Factory 4 really looks like a return to form for the series. Last year, Tides of Destiny was a departure for the Harvest Moon spin-off, and I personally didn't enjoy it all that much. Now, Rune Factory 3 on the DS — that game was effing rad.
Thankfully, Rune Factory 4 looks to deliver combat, farming, exploration, and character interactions akin to those seen in the previous handheld title. Additionally, there will be some new gameplay elements, such as the ability to marry boss characters, or being allowed to ride a monster while in a dungeon. Rune Factory 4 will introduce new faces to the series, too, and given how colorful past series casts have been, it's exciting to think about the types of personalities players will run into.
I don't know much Japanese (or any, actually), but judging from the Rune Factory 4 trailer, it appears the lucky folks in the land of the rising sun will get a special edition of the game that comes in a snazzy box and includes a soundtrack CD. Hey, Marvelous, how about bringing that bundle over to North America?
