Looks like there’s hope for Mega Man after all

Get Mega Man off the moon! It's been the slogan for impassioned fans for years. With the recent cancelation of Mega Man Legends 3, the dream of seeing the Blue Bomber seemed hopeless.

However, in a recent interview with Nintendo Power, Capcom USA senior vice president Christian Svensson urged fans not to lose hope, as he explained there's a good chance fans will be seeing a lot more of Mega Man both on handhelds and consoles in the future.

"I can say with certainty that you’ve not seen the last of the Blue Bomber on consoles and handhelds, and, with luck, we’ll be celebrating his 50th anniversary, including all of the games you’re going to enjoy over the next 25 years," Svensson said.

"That said, an issue we’ve had in the past has been talking about games and announcing them before we’re certain they’re going to come out, which unfortunately has lead to profound disappointment for many fans," he explained. "So for now, I’m going to have to stay mum about any details."

Despite the vagueness, it's certainly good news for fans of the Blue Bomber. We don't know when we'll get him, but it's comforting to know Capcom isn't totally ignoring Mega Man.
