Thanks to the gorgeous trailer showcased at the Spike Video Game Awards, we finally have an official release date for the PS3 exclusive, The Last of Us. The information doesn't stop there.
When you pre-order the game, you'll get access to the Sights & Sounds Pack, which includes the official soundtrack of the game, a dynamic theme for your PS3 and two avatars of Winter Joel and Winter Ellie for your PSN Profile.
Pre-ordering the game at GameStop will also get you the Survival Pack. This includes bonus experience points for multiplayer, multiplayer melee attack booster, extra starting in-game cash, special customizable character items for multiplayer, and two special bonus skins for Joel and Ellie, which can be unlocked after the single player campaign is beaten at least once.
The Last of Us tells a story about a couple of survivors, 20 years after a pandemic has radically changed all civilization. Joel, a violent survivor, is hired to smuggle a 14 year-old girl, Ellie, out of an oppressive military quarantine zone, but what starts as a small job soon transforms into a brutal journey across the U.S.
The Last of Us will finally see the light of day on May 7th, 2013. With a game like this, we can't let the end of the world come in 12 days.
