Ubisoft’s Fighter Within officially announced for Xbox One

Ubisoft's worst-kept-secret Fighter Within has officially been announced for the Xbox One. Ubisoft confirmed the game's release for the Xbox One, calling it the "first fighting game designed specifically for the next generation of hardware." As such, it will make full use of the Xbox One's Kinect peripheral.

"Fighter Within delivers on the long awaited motion fighting promise, inviting players to prove their fighting skills and sharpen their plan of attack in order to beat their opponents," Ubisoft explained. "Fighter Within lets players throw punches, kicks, counters and combos in the most immersive, brutal and liberating fighting experience yet."

Ubisoft promises "impressive movement tracking" that will lead to varied attack moves as you compete against friends in this "climactic fighting experience."

It's the usual PR fluff you'd expect from a game announcement along with a trailer that doesn't really give us any sense as to how accurate and smooth the gameplay is with the Kinect. Fighter Within will be one of the 20-plus Xbox One games available at the system's launch.
