PopCap Games has announced Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, a highly anticipated shooter based on the hit mobile defense game, will be available for Xbox One and Xbox 360 on February 18, 2014 in North America. In Europe, it will release on February 20, 2014.
"Gamers across the world have fallen in love with the Plants vs. Zombies characters and now they'll get to see them in an entirely new light," said producer Brian Lindley. "Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare give the series' fans and shooter players a fun, new experience that they'll both enjoy as they blast, chomp and laugh their way through co-op and head-to-head online action."
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare offers more than 10 maps and three distinct game modes, including two 12v12 competitive multiplayer modes. It also has a four player co-operative mode in which plants must defend the garden bases from zombies attempting to turn them into graveyards.
On Xbox One, there are two extra modes including local cooperative split screen and Boss Mode. In Boss Mode, you can utilize the Kinect or a SmartGlass device in any of the other gameplay modes to support your team. This mode offers a top-down view of the battlefield where the boss can help out their teammates with intel, health drops, revive stations, and artillery strikes.
The Xbox One version is priced at $39.99, while the Xbox 360 will be sold $10 cheaper for $29.99.
