Microsoft responds to defective Xbox One claims: ‘We plan to take care of customers’

Microsoft has yet to offer any sort of explanation for the various claims regarding defective Xbox One consoles, but the console maker has assured they will "take care" of their customers.

As expected, today's launch was greeted with a fair share of users claiming hardware issues, including several users reporting a grinding noise when inserting a game into the system's Blue-ray disc drive. It's not yet clear how widespread the problem is. Either way, Microsoft suggests anyone experiencing issues with their Xbox One contact the company's support through the various avenues available.

We know that with a hardware launch of this magnitude customers will have questions and we have many avenues for customers to get the answers they need and get back in the game as soon as possible. Rest assured we plan to take care of our customers. Any customer who believes they are experiencing an issue with their Xbox One should reach out to us.
