Well, you can forget about building castles and fighting Creepers in virtual reality. Minecraft won't be coming to the Oculus Rift.
Creator Markus Persson announced over Twitter that he won't be bringing his popular sandbox game to the virtual reality device, which just got picked up by Facebook.
"We were in talks about maybe bringing a version of Minecraft to Oculus," Persson wrote. "I just canceled that deal. Facebook creeps me out."
Not all developers and gamers are having positive reactions to the news about the Oculus VR buyout, which cost Facebook $2 billion. And Persson dropping Minecraft, which is successful on multiple platforms, is a big loss for both companies.
