The PlayStation Vita version of Borderlands 2 finally has a release date — or release dates, rather, as it depends on how you plan on purchasing the game. If you purchase the game from a retailer or digitally via the PlayStation Store, then you'll have to wait until May 13th before you can begin your shooting and looting on Pandora. However, if you opt to get the Borderlands 2 limited Edition PlayStation Vita Bundle then you can get access to the game a full week early on May 6th. Of course, the latter option only makes sense if you don't already have a Vita.
The Borderlands 2 Vita Bundle includes the new slimmer, lighter PS Vita Wi-Fi model with 1GB of internal memory, a new high-def liquid crystal display, increased battery life, and a "enhanced" design for more comfort. The Borderlands 2 game and all six add-on packs — Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty, Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage, the Psycho and Mechromancer Character Classes, as well as the Ultimate Vault Hunter’s Upgrade Pack and the Collector’s Edition pack — are also included, as is an 8GB PS Vita memory card. The Bundle will retail for $199.99.
The Vita version also support cross play, meaning if you've already started your adventure on PS3 you can easily pick up and continue on the Vita.
