Nintendo's Mario Kart franchise has been around for quite a while. The series, which takes characters from the Mario franchise and puts them in cute little karts, would have you believe that this is an adorable racer with competitive aspects. Here's the thing though, the characters racing are freaking evil. Stone-cold killers. I've always had a sneaking suspicion that there was more to the Mario Kart franchise than meets the eye, and thanks to Mario Kart 8's replay system the series' darker side has now been revealed.
It all starts with Luigi, probably bitter that Nintendo ended its "Year of Luigi." NeoGAF cleverly compiled a bunch of replays featuring the cold-blooded racer as he stares down opponents, murders them with shells, and laughs his entire way to the finish line. Don't fu*k with Luigi.
This got even more hilarious in the NeoGAF thread when someone posted angry Donkey Kong, clearly fed up with Luigi's sh*t.
And then Bowser.
After 20-plus years of racing, you'd think these guys would have settled some of their differences. Nope. The competitive juices are flowing more than ever in Mario Kart 8.
