Microsoft has issued an announcement, confirming that certain Xbox LIVE services are "limited" across Xbox One, Xbox 360, and other devices.
According to the latest on the Xbox Live status page, services like Netflix, PBS, Twitch, and Xbox Video are currently being affected by the issues. Microsoft has already assured they are currently working on the problem, though there's no timetable for when services will be fully restored. Here's Microsoft's brief response for each service:
For downloading items that you've already purchased:
"Xbox members, we know some of you are unable to watch television seasons that you’ve already purchased from Xbox Video, and we’re diligently working to correct this issue right away. We appreciate your patience during this process and will update you again when we have more information."
For Netflix on Xbox One:
"Are you having some issues with resuming playback on the Netflix application? We are currently working on this with our partner and will get it resolved as quickly as possible. Thanks so much for your patience while we work. We'll update you as soon as we have more information."
For PBS:
"Are you having a tough time finding the PBS application or viewing content on it? As you read this message, we’re working with our external partner to get this issue corrected as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience in the meantime, Xbox members. We’ll update you again when we have more information."
For Twitch:
"Are you experiencing issues trying to play content on the Twitch application? We're on it! Our team is working with our partner to get this fixed as quickly as possible. Thanks for your patience while we work. We'll update you again when the issue is resolved."
It's worth pointing out that this is only a U.S. update. Xbox LIVE services in other regions are also having problems.
