Do you know what the best type of DLC is? It's free DLC that comes in the form of an update.
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is getting a massive update, is covers everything from the pre-PlayStation launch to new things. A bunch of new things, things you can use in different ways!
Here's a sample of what the update will be bringing, it doesn't touch on the customization sets, new AI, co-op or other various improvements:
There's one new map:
- Crash Course map: The Crash Course map calls the Bogey Hills Golf Course it's home. Both the grass and the zombies make it idyllically green.
Two new modes:
- Taco Bandits: There's a new taco stand in town and it's right in the middle of Zombie territory. Who knows why Crazy Dave decided on putting it there, but you'll be making a run to his taco stand as a zombie.
- Suburbination mode: A classic domination-style game. Gain control of three points as either a zombie or a plant – who ever gets them wins.
There are eight new character variants:
Zombie Side:
- The Centurion: Equipped with a single shot crossbow, he inflicts damage over time with fire to plants.
- The Sanitation Expert: Equipped with a trash compactor, he launches explosive garbage bags at enemies that inflicts toxic damage to plants
- The Paleontologist: Dressed up like a dinosaur, but more like a dragon. He launches fire at both short and long-ranged with a molten magma blaster.
- The Golf Star: Equipped with a Gold Cannon, he's got the fastest rate of fire in the game and super-accurate aim.
Plant Side:
- The Plasm Pea Shooter: Shoots rapid-fire plasma balls and a lot of other things.
- The Alien Flower: Not quite like the Sunflower, more alien-like. She shoots projectiles that cause a mist upon explosion – quick damage to anyone silly enough to walk into it.
- The Chomp Thing: He just won't die! Has a super fast health regen.
- The Jade Cactus: Basically a tank. Heavily armored, lots of health and explosive damage on direct hits.
