GAME SUMMARY
The creativity of Russian author Nikolay Vasilievich Gogol is well-known all
over the world. Many people remember how smith Vakula flew to Saint-Petersburg
on a devil; how Homa Brut confronted the master of evil spirits, Vii; a witch
and mermaids from May night, or drowned woman. In Gogol’s stories reality and
magic go hand in hand; the clerk and village constable mix with sorcerers and
werewolves. Against this background, near the Ukrainian small village of 18th
century Dikanka, the action of game develops.
The protagonist of the game – rural smith Vakula – is enamored with Oksana, the
first beauty of Dikanka. But Oksana presents an apparently impossible
requirement: she wants Vacula to bring her shoes that the tsarina wears.
