Gearbox Software released a Borderlands 2 patch today for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation3 versions of the game. The patch addresses numerous bugs, the most significant being the Badass Rank bug, where players were stripped of Badass Tokens. The fixes for that bug state:
- Modified profile behavior to better protect Badass Rank and related data.
- Added functionality to detect and restore Badass Rank in the event it was lost. To ensure you are credited for as much progress as possible, please load your character, select "Continue" on the Main Menu, and then "Save and Quit" after you enter the world. Repeat this process for each character in your character list.
So if you lost your Badass Rank due to a glitch, Borderlands 2 will analyze your saved games to detect if you lost a Badass Rank. Note that you should repeat the directions they give for each character in your character list.
For the full patch notes for 360 and PS3, you can view them on the Gearbox Software website.
