1 vs. 100 Lives on as Facebook Game

One of the more unusually enjoyable party games on the Xbox 360, 1 vs. 100, shut down before its third season began. However, news has surfaced on Gaming Angels that the game is heading to Facebook thanks to the collaborative efforts of production company Endemol and developer iWin.

A Facebook version of Deal or No Deal will also be launching alongside 1 vs. 100 later this spring. The live TV show styled gaming format shown in 1 vs. 100 presented itself well on Xbox Live, which was almost certainly the best platform to run it on. Despite its cancellation, Microsoft brass enjoyed the endeavor–especially Dave McCarthy, general manager for Microsoft Game Studios, who said, “We’re very proud of the ‘1 vs 100′ team and their accomplishments, and are excited to apply what we’ve learned to future programming.”

On Facebook, the same formula will apply, as you’ll be battling against a virtual mob. It’s unconfirmed if prizes will be up for grabs. One of the more interesting (and potentially annoying) features will be the ability to ask your Facebook friends for help. I really hope you have to be in the game before you’re bugged by friends asking who the first person was to run a sub-10 second 100 metre sprint.
