20th Century Fox ambushes us with first Predator teaser image

"You'll never see him coming," 20th Century Fox warns us.

And, boy, were they right. The studio surprised us today, releasing the first teaser image for the upcoming Predator reboot. In typical Predator fashion, the poster's release surprised us all, especially with the silence surrounding the film of late.

"Here we go again, bro," the messaging alongside the poster reveals. The image also includes the title "The Predator," which may or may not be the official title of the film.

Director Shane Black (Iron Man 3) and Fred Dekker (co-writer on The Monster Squad) have been working on the new Predator movie — which is said to be an "inventive sequel" — since 2014. Details still remain scarce, but producer John Davis had nothing but positive things to say about the film back in August of last year.

"I’ve read a lot of his script and I think it’s genius," Davis said last year. "I think it’s genius and I think it’s entertaining, and what it did is recreate a famous franchise in a different, interesting way; looking at it from a different light."

It's unclear what'll follow next, but judging by the way the poster was released, I imagine 20th Century Fox will ambush us again with a teaser trailer.
