25 years of Final Fantasy games in one magical box

What if I told you as part of the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy, Square Enix is releasing a box of the entire core of the Final Fantasy games for PlayStation.  These games will include the original up to FFXIII.  The disks for these games will have new and unique artwork from character artist Yoshitaka Amano.  Along with the games, there is a two disk soundtrack and commemorative DVD.  I love me some Final Fantasy.

The kicker is, this package is going for 35,000 yen, which translates to about $450.  Also, as of now it has only been announced in Japan.  I assume it will be sold internationally though.  While this set is perfect for the Final Fantasy fan, $450 seems a bit expensive.  I’m sure the novelty and collector’s purposes make it worth it, but if you just want all the games you can do it for cheaper.

Lastly, keep in mind that PS4 won’t be backwards combatable.  This collection is said to be released December 18th in Japan.
