Activision earned $841 million in net revenue for this quarter, compared to $754 million during the same period in 2011, according to a financial report.
The performance is largely attributed to sales of World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria (which sold 2.7 million copies in its first week), Diablo 3 (10 million copies total), and Skylanders Spyro's Adventure (the No. 1 action-figure line in the U.S. for the first nine months of this year).
Activision expects Call of Duty: Black Ops II, which releases on November 13, to be one of the most successful launches in entertainment history.
It also reported $3.4 billion in cash and investments and no debt. For the third year in a row, Activision generated over $1 billion in operating cash flow, as of the 12-month period ending September 30.
