Adventurezator: When Pigs Fly Kickstarter fully-funded, game aims to re-imagine the adventure genre

Are adventure games getting old? Hours of pointed dialogue, tedious gameplay and lost hours all because “you only talked to a character three times instead of four, or you tried cutting the rope with the sword instead of the knife?” If your answer is yes, then you’ll want to set your sights on Pigasus Games' upcoming title, Adventurezator: When Pigs Fly.

Adventurezator throws out the typical adventure game formula and instead relies on player interaction that can potentially add thousand of hours of gameplay minus any repetition.

“Imagine an adventure game without rigid scripts or stupidly ludicrous puzzles, but rather, a world driven by millions of possible interactions among objects and characters,” read a recent press release. “An axe, for example, is a ‘chopper,’ and any object that is ‘choppable’ is just kindling in the making. Simple, right?”

“BUT, THERE'S MORE!

Adventurezator is throwing the days of repetitious replays out the window. In addition to the main storyline, Sandbox mode gives players the same tools as the developers to create and share their own scenarios, link them together into larger story arcs, and create their own custom cutscenes.”

Kickstarter funding for the game began back on July 10 and just yesterday did the team announce that they had surpassed their $20,000 goal. Though fans can still fund Adventurezator until this Friday (August 9), Project Lead, Fabio 'Petrucio' Stange seems ecstatic to publish a game he’s for both as a developer and gamer.

"I'm getting to make not only a game I really want to create, but also a game I really want to play as a gamer," says Stange. "Now, the really terrifying part is that this is the big moment of truth for me – this is THE one project of my life, and will probably have a huge impact on it. This is the chance I’ve always wanted to have, and the game that thirteen year old boy playing SNES always wanted to create."

Below you can check out the game’s intro teaser from Pigasus Games’ YouTube channel:

Currently, Pigasus Games offers no timetable on completion of the project or an anticipated release date. However, the game is currently set to release on PC and Mac
