It's already been revealed that publisher Nordic Games is remastering Darksiders, but apparently, that reveal was never meant to happen. In an official press release, Nordic Games "officially" announced the Darksiders Warmastered Edition, a remastered version of the series' original 2010 game. Darksiders Warmastered Edition will release on PS4, Xbox One, Wii U and PC on October 25th, 2016 and will retail for USD/EUR 19.99.
On the subject of the early reveal, Nordic Games' PR & Marketing Director Philipp Brock said:
"We had a short-lived epidemic of premature emancipation, causing the affected persons to burp out sensitive info a little sooner than planned, but after a minor surgery and some medication, we got it all under control."

- Native 1080p rendering resolution for console platforms

- 60 FPS in moment to moment gameplay (PS4, Xbox One, PC, 30 for WiiU)
Darksiders is an Action/Adventure game where War, one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, has been deceived into inciting a war between the forces of heaven and hell. War is stripped of his powers and cast down to the ruins of Earth, where he is given one chance to find the truth and defeat the ones responsible.
We were impressed by the original Darksiders when we reviewed it back in 2010, giving it an overall score of 8/10. We can't wait to see what the Warmastered version looks like when it releases later this year.
