Age of Mythology: Extended Edition was a pleasant surprise from Microsoft. Today, the game was made available to pre-order on Steam. What isn't pleasant, however, is the asking price of $29.99.
Granted, you get a 20% discount for pre-ordering, but still, when you can access the original releases for around $20, that's still a steep asking price. This game screams impulse buy during a Steam Sale, but the general consensus seems to be that the asking price is a bit steep for some to pre-order.
Let's recap at what's made available in the Extended Edition when it releases May 8th. For what it's worth, it looks like you can pick up the Age of Mythology: Gold Edition for under $10.
The Extended Edition includes:
Age of Mythology
