With Call of Duty: Ghosts officially announced, it's time for retailers to vie for your pre-order.
Yesterday, GameStop revealed it would be offering an exclusive limited edition two-sided poster. For PowerUp Rewards members, you will also unlock the exclusive Call of Duty: Ghosts themed weapon camo for use in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.
Now it's Amazon's turn to make its case. The online retail giant will offer a similar deal, but rather than physical posters, you'll receive two exclusive Call of Duty Ghosts digital wallpapers for use on your phone or computer. If you do decide to pre-order from Amazon, they will start emailing the wallpapers on June 1.
Despite being announced yesterday, Activision will not actually show off any gameplay until Microsoft's next generation Xbox unveiling event on May 21. We only know that it will deliver "a riveting all-new gameplay experience built on an entirely new story, setting, and cast of characters." The Xbox unveiling event will be broadcast on Xbox.com, Xbox LIVE, and Spike TV.
Call of Duty: Ghosts will release on November 5 for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. It will also be available for next generation platforms, meaning the PS4 and currently unannounced next Xbox. There was no mention of the Wii U, but it's unclear if Activision is lumping Nintendo's new(ish) console in with the "next gen" ones.
