Amazon Prime members interested in picking up Destiny: The Taken King Legendary Edition may want to click through the site as they can pre-order the game at a discounted price. Available for both Xbox One and PS4, Prime members who pre-order the Legendary Edition will get access to the base Destiny game, both previous expansions (The Dark Below and House of Wolves), as well as the Taken King expansion for a total of $50 — $10 cheaper than its regular price.
The Taken King is Bungie's "Mega expansion," larger than your usual DLC, but smaller than your standard AAA full size game. In Bungie's ten year plan for Destiny, every other year beginning with this year will see the release of an expansion while the other years will see the game's sequels. Destiny 2 will be released in 2016. Some of the new additions to the Taken King include:
The level cap increase will alllow Guardians to reach light level 40 and we've previewed the new Dreadnaught location. Personally, I've stopped playing Destiny but this is still a great price if you plan on jumping into the fray fresh with The Taken King. With the expansion alone costing $40, this means that for an extra $10 you are getting the base game as well as both expansions. With Bungie's pricing making some waves lately, we'll keep an eye out on the reactions of this pre-order bonus. The $50 price will be available at checkout for Prime members.
