Anchorman 2 gets a release date

Decemeber 20, 2013 will go down as the best day ever in the history of cinema. Paramount Pictures has slated that as the release date for Anchorman 2, the sequel to 2004's Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. Nothing is known about the plot, other than that the original cast is set to return.

Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell and David Koechner are set to reprise their roles of Ron Burgundy, Brian Fantana, Brick Tamland and Champ Kind. Christina Applegate and Vince Vaughn are also returning for the sequel, and Kristen Wiig is in talks to join the cast. We'll update as we learn more, but until then, don't make any plans for December 20, 2013.
